What kind of art should I make?

Posted by gatekid3 - June 10th, 2019

I feel i might as well ask. What type of art do people want to see from me, both in terms of what things have I made that you like, and what things should i maybe look into doing in the future?

That extends to both my art and pixel art.

Obviously i know people enjoy my animated pixel work most, but even in that, what types of things do people want to see.

You could try experimenting with other forms of visual art. Mosaic tiles and 3D modeling may be worth exploring, and there are plenty of other forms to try.

I was referring more to subject matter within what i already do rather than a new medium. also. i have experimented with 3d models before.

Pornography.

Thats a no from me on that.

@gatekid3 Yeah I get it. Kind of related to the topic but once I took the leap and accepted myself, started drawing the shit I really wanted to I felt much better, almost like coming out of the closet . You know how long I spent telling people "I'm just drawing this because I want the money" because I felt ashamed of what I was doing? I stopped lying to myself and just accepted it, I like drawing boobies. Might not directly apply to you personally but it might be the way to go (not talking about drawing boobies I mean, just creating what you want in general). "What do YOU want to create?" Might be the more interesting and fulfilling question.

What about dinosaurs XD

I would say continue drawing what you feel like but always be working on a big movie type animation and explore longer animations in general as big side projects. Sorry for not being specific but its ultimately up to you to decide!

One thing I've been doing lately is trying to think of things to draw which I know that I've never drawn before. Something entirely new, kinda push the boundaries a little bit. Maybe think about something similar? :)

With August approaching, you could stick a clock on Rad-ish and make a movie for Clock Day.

FleppyFlepster said it. XD But hmm... how about falling loops, tunnels, etc? Journeys or transports of some kind where the background is the focus rather than the character. That'd be pretty cool. And not so common.
